About

As the title of the website indicates this is a place for printmakers who do their best to maintain blogs as part of their art practice.  I am one of those ALTHOUGH I have become disinclined to keep at it consistently.  The odd thing is though, that I know I am better-off, when I do so.  The other thing is that reading other printmakers blogs is one of the things I most like to do when I am on the internet.  I have looked around the web to see if such a thing exists i.e. a nework or directory of printmakers blogs and I was unable to find anything of the sort.

So here we are then.  The idea is that any one who want to be a member of this NETWORK should have a blog where they write about their printmaking about the art they are making and how its going - whether that be really well or bloody awful. I dont really want blogs that just announce the next exhibition one has work in, which isnt to say that one oughtnt to write a blog post about that but I would hope that there is just a bit more than that.  I mean how do you make the artworks you are currently focusing on?  Is there any particular reason why you chose to use lino cut for that?  Maybe you thought the kind of marks achievable with it would suit the 'character' of that which you were aiming to express in the artwork.
Did you look at other artist using lino cut and are there any in particular that appeal to you.

to be continued.........................

I am putting together a list of artist printmakers who I know as bloggers and who I admire in that respect.
